Originating as a flickr group, the bus is ever expanding as more wild folk jump on board to share thier art with the world. I haven't written anything on here in a while so I thought i'd post an update. Tonight is my friends eighteenth party so she's having a few gazebos in the garden, snow covered garden may I add. She's bought UV lights and things, I think I shall attend as the 'party panda!' We all need one of the those.

New year plans are also being made, I have no idea what to do. It's a toss up between Falmouth for a badgers arse pub crawl or the six bells for a knees up and a yeeeehah.

Oh and this is a wee painting I did using water colours, acrylic, ink and pen. The wave is shit though, oh well, we'll call it 'abstract'. Hope you're all fine and dandy and lovely and beautiful.

I bought a nice little book the other day in town and tea-stained it all so I can fill it up with loads of little drawings. I've done two already.

The red indian girl I thought of when I was up in Nottingham, I just came up with an idea of feathers and textures. The bird man I thought of in a graphics lesson but couldn't think of a way to tie him in with my project.

Today I feel Australian. I don't know why. I've put on my Australia T-shirt. Going to cycle into college in a bit. Currently listening to best album EVER. Thicker than Water. It's beautiful.

Went for a drive the other day with Mike and Guy in Guy's little Daihatsu van, we bummed around Brighton and did absoloutly cack all, were meant to hand out Mikes CV's but he forgot them. However the drive home was nice, sea, sunset, van.

I wish I was in Cornwall. Hopefully going soon. I was thinking how I would love to spend christmas there, camping. It would be perfect.

Erm Friday night had a secret, magical goodbye party in the fairy camp for Duncan who is going to uni. It was really nice. We had ram burgers, Bev burgers, Bean kebabs, vegetable kebabs, salmon and 2 cakes (one personally customised for Spunks.) We put candles everywhere and bunting.

I wish bell for my bike aswell.

I'm going to miss Duncan alot and Nottingham is quite far away but i'm excited for him, it's a completely new start, new friends, new home. I can't wait for uni.

I bought a £2 polaroid camera the other day froma charity shop. It was boxed and everything with flash cubes and film! However the film is so old that it just doesn't work, so with the old film I decided to stitch a little owl onto it. : )

I've decided to open a little ebay shop selling lovely floral, vintage/vintage-inspired, secondhand clothing and jewellry. You will rarely find anything over a tenner. Check it out.

I two have a gorgeous blouses for sale at the moment, a beautiful embroided cardigan and some little rose bead earrings! I'll be adding more to the collection soon. It says I only ship to the UK but just give me an email if you like anything and i'm sure I can ship elsewhere!

Holiday

I've just come back from Mallorca. It was beautiful. Met my Scottish friend Ross there. It was so warm and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. It wasn't so touristy that you don't meet a Spanish person but it wasn't so rural that that there is nothing to do. There are some beautiful restaurants, a magical beach with hidden rocks to jump off of and a really chilled night life. The local beer is delicious aswell, Cruz Campo. I'm going to try and learn some more Spannish for next year though.
In between midnight skinny dipping and befriending Germans we went to Felanitx market. It was so traditional and beautiful, got a few nice photographs. We wanted to buy some chicks to release in the wild, and after many laughs trying to ask where the animals were in a charades like manner we found them. There were lots of animals but they were all really poorley kept. I know they are farm animals and not pets but that shouldn't mean that they should be treated like bits of wood, that is how they were treated; being chucked onto piles and picked up by thier legs. We didn't end up buying any as I would have had to buy the lot. I don't think the Taxi driver would have been too happy.

I didn't really want to come back that soon but it was nice to see Duncan again. I also broke up with my boyfriend, on good terms though which is nice though, but it does feel wierd. Duncans off to uni next week up in Nottingham so i'll have to go and visit.

Tree camp

Last night Duncan and myself went for a BBQ at Bens. We met him in Falmouth on our little holiday. We turned up but couldn't find anyone so we took a little wander into the woods infront of his house. He phoned us, we met up and he took us to the BBQ spot where Lali, Amy and George were waiting. We were walking for about 15 minutes into the forest with him then we took a right into the undergrowth. We walked for ages through the trees, under branches, over trunks and streams. We could see a glowing light and smell the BBQ. We were expecting just a small clearing in the tree's with a camp fire. It was the most beautiful camp I have ever seen. There were several tree platforms around us with a rope ladders to them and ropes between them. There were shelves built between trees and little pegs in the tree's to hang things from. There was a tipi made from hazel and willow and deer and sheep skulls attatched to the trees. A little sign on one of the trees said 'please look after our little camp.' It was so sweet. There were stars made from hazel hanggin from the tree's and candels everywhere. A magical night in beautiful company. Going to a tipi party tonight at Amys.

Capri

I've been learning Capri for two days now. It's such a beautiful songs and the words are gorgeous. I think I have the guitar but the voice needs altering. Today Naomi, Amy, Duncan and myself went into Eastbourne to buy food for One Love festival. Last year we were so prepared. we made chick pea curry from scratch and homemade veggie burgers but this year I don't fancy washing up much so have loads of noodles and rice.
Duncan wrote a song about our magical camping trip and sent it to me, it's really sweet. He writes music for his folky group Chief Ten Bears.
I also bought a corchet hook for 25p in a charity shop to tighten my two dreads with! They're coming on nicely! I'm worried i'll get carried away though and end up doing the whole thing.
Left the hook in Duncan car though and he forgot to take his flapjacks.
Oh yeah, another small story. The night before last i decided to make my homemade festival flapjacks at ten at night. I filmed it aswell and put it on youtube. My very own cookery show!
We slept in a tent in the garden yesterday as we're sad to be back from camping, it was nice, D-man talked in his sleep again though, he said his brother 'forgot to take the flapjacks with him!' Ahha.

We sang magically in the caves under water falls. Our guitars sounded so different but worked well and echoed around the cave and projected onto the beach. It sounded so good against the dripping water and the waves crashing onto the sand. It's inspired us to write some songs. Duncans voice is deep and quite folky and mine is very untrained and huskyish, it kind of works. We did a Moldy Peaches cover whilst watching the sunset on the beach. It was quite moving.

I got back from camping in Cornwall the other day. It was so magical. I want to be there now.

We climbed cliffs, cooked meals in a camp in the rocks, watched the sunset by candels, played our guitars by the sea, played with pois, watched Vans skate competition, watched the board masters, flied kites, sang music under a water fall in a cave, surfed, hardcore body boarded in the choppy waves of Chapel Porth, ate wild fruits, stayed in Flamouth for a night with some friends, went to Hughs shop in Axeminster and went to Stonehenge. It was so amazing. I feel like i've changed and grown up. I've made some beautiful new friends, and got closer to friends i've already had. It's confirmed where I want to be.

I went to France with my dad on the scooter the other day. We had a lovely lunch, mussels in garlic, white wine and cream. It's so beautiful there. The beaches were packed at 7 at night, the bars on the beach were buzzing with life. Live music spilled out of cafes and families went down to the beach to have a cool beer and some dinner.
The European way of life seems so much more relaxed. The beaches are cleaner, the sea is clearer, the food is nices and I could still see Dover.

I took this photograph on top of a cliff a few miles West of Callais. It was a really beautiful cove. The cliff was cut into making a pathway to the beach, which may I add was miles of golden sand.
I like the way the lines of the grass all go off to a point creating a sense of perspective.

St Agnes

Off to St Agnes on Saturday for a cheeky little trip.

We're going to paint and camp and see boardmasters. Can't wait.

Originally there were going to be about 7 or 8 of us but slowly people pull out when they realise a little bit of effort is involved on thier behalf. But thats okay because i'm the one getting a trip out of it!

This week I have purchased a vintage swimming costume (really pretty), a check shirt, a Henry Lloyd anorach, a film and an Australia t-shirt all for a tenner! Amazing.

I also need to fix my holgaq before Cornwall, the back keeps falling off of it but I think that masking taping it will be a bit of a bodge job. Any ideas?

Right here it is. I'm kind of happy with it. I like the wave and I think it works well with the collage but I didn't know what to do for that 'missing something' aspect. I ended up doing some bubbles which I kind of regret so i'll maybe cover those up later with some collage.

Painting attempt two is nearly complete. It just needs something else though and I can't put my finger on it. I has a bit of collage, some acrylic and ink but still needs something.

Ergh my tea is cold. And it's thundering a little.

I think i'll post the picture tomorrow. Something about painting outside is great, but you need sunglasses when it's sunny. My canvas was so white to begin with I partially lost my sight.

I've just started on a new picture, I think I want to use a combination of paint, inks and pen maybe a bit of collage, not sure. Collage is dangerous, i'll end up sticking giant pieces of driftwood to it. Bad idea. I'm doing it on paper aswell which means I can typewriter all over it. Good times.

I'll post it when i'm done. It should be taking longer than it does. Real artists spend weeks on a piece of art. I get so excited about the ideas in my head that I go mental and just like throw up a mass of visual paint vomit on a page in about 3 hours.

I also have a pile of driftwood, shells and stones on my floor which is increasing in size everythime I go to the beach. It looks so pretty but needs something doing with them.

OHH I found an artist that is amazing called Chris Silva. He does beautiful things with buildings and drift wood. Check him out. AHah i sound like an advertiser.

Trip to St Agnes has been sorted now, a bit of a balls up with the whole camping pitch and such but if it doesn't happen a sheltered cliff side will do me fine, as long as a have some doritos and my camera. Duncan found a shortboard in his garage to take with us but we don't have a roof rack so duck tape may have to be considered.
